An "i love this part" thread would be marginally better and yes its great to be chatting about bmx but this thread was lifted from the museum so you can fill your boots with peoples pet peeves on there.

Well my haro must fook a load of people off

It has twin pinchers, whitewalls, new skyways & left lever controls back brake (as it should)

At least it doesn't have an Elina (any more)

And my silver fox has a front brake and repop comp 3s

If i think about it i have one or two parts i don't like the look of but in order for me to think "why the fcuk did you put THAT on there?? It would have to be something i knew for sure definitely never happened and wasn't right.
If a guy has done his research when putting a bike together then even the 'ugly what the fcuk' parts are alright to me.

This thread and the other one though have got me thinking of ideas for my next build.

Alloy cranks on a pro bike,82 to 85ish

Anyone whos ridden a bike with o/s ally cranks will know how shite they are.some are only 170,s too....

dx cranks maybe ok,not sure about them $:-\$ ,better off with an opc

Massive bars and laybacks on an expert bike

Massive seats,full size grips,other burly parts on a mini,mini bmx,s are meant to be as light as possible

Yellow parts teamed with gold parts

,like mixing black and blue with yer clothes

(ok with jeans

)

Small chainrings on a 20"race bike,39/16=nowhere fast

Sometimes an explanation as to why certain parts are on the bike or why something is set up in a certain way is needed

On the diplomatic tip.... Each to there own! Most people don't have the cash to spend on era correct parts , or don't see the point ! If you like it, ride it and don't just drool over it collecting dust then use what is good for you.
