Are shoite !!!!

Me and me mate both bought bikes for going to
Dynamix oldies night !! Didn't want to ruin the pride
and joy.so bought new .Too old to ride brakeless
But hate sqeeeeeeeeel
Changed clear to black oddyssey pads , stopped
The squeal with a bit toe out, but the brake is
Terrible "no stopping power" . Is it the brake or the pads

?

its all in the setup

the cheapest brakes can be made work really well, you just need to know what u are doing

first off have u roughed up the pad slightly? if not then a light sand will help, also no doubt whilst fitting your brake you have had your hands on the rim and prob got them a bit greasy (even with clean hands)

get some window cleaner and spray it onto a cloth and work your way around the rim cleaning the brake surface, give the cloth a couple of sprays for each side of the rim and you will be surprised how much dirt will come off

i run a oddy evo brake on the rear with black kool stop eagle pads with no probs

post up a pic, "centre pull brake" covers a lot of brakes, is it a u brake?, if so, as kevs says if you got em set up right then you should be able to stop the bike and you with one finger , two finger grip will lock the wheel solid , i run superstar u brake with cheap jagwire blocks , blocks are from car spares shop look like old oddy blocks with fin on one side , no squeeeeeeeeeek and bite real well on the rim ,u brakes should work well even on a dirty rim because of the power they generate.

It might be the pic but the blocks look miles away from the rim. There may lay some of the problem bud. Also check your cable is lubed up nicely and that your spring tension is good

Today i Sanded pads with 180 grit paper and adjusted cable so pads are closer,
Just come back from dynamix skate park and the brake is squeeeeel free and works well !!!
