This might be a long shot, but try a Raleigh dealer with a workshop. They used something similar on their early mountain bikes, say a Lizard. It had a US bb with a three peice crank, also poss a Mustang too, but I had a lizard so know first hand.
When I saw the thread I knew you'd be after a square tapered BB for either HLT or Sugino/Redline 400's Joffy Hard to come by on their own mate , but now and again There's a guy called Cuckoo on here and Museum (Lee) , he did excellent reproduction 400 BB's for about £75/£80 at the time . I think he's in the Far east , he's a good fella
Didn't Biagio also run up some copies too?
i needed an axle for my redline 400s and searched for a couple of years before i found an original one, then about a week later cuckoo had them for sale. they look really nice too. i used a coke can to make small shims and a normal square taper axle till i found the correct one. worked fine too, it was nice and tight.
The alloy fusion cranks have a 15mm square taper. I'm sure the group 1 steel cranks used the same bb and bearings.
what size are the pro-class spindles?
