Anno and Chrome parts
« on: February 23, 2013, 04:29 PM »

If you put a brake caliper in an Oxy Acid Bath, with mixed annodize and chrome parts on it.  Would the Oxy Acid affect the anno part?

I'm not sure?

If it were a stem that you are doing I would be tempted to do it in a bucket with a bar through the stem. Leaving the shaft dangling over the bucket then fill the oxy acid/water so it covers the shaft.

At least that way u shouldn't fook up the alloy.

Thats what I'm worried about is the alloy going to corrode.

I thought it would eat away the anno and alloy, like oven pride does if you left the parts in too long.

it didn't touch the spider (which had no chrome left on it ,so bare alloy) & I always like my 'stews' strong, so extra OA in there too  >:D :daumenhoch:
