It's like being on blind date!

Hello everyone, I thought it about time I registered and introduced myself.

After stalking the forum/museum with instincts of ageing BMX bandit , drooling over some of your builds I kindly ask you to accept me into your little community here

I'm a complete newbie at this BMX building lark, kinda fell in love with the new skyway 24" earlier this year and now finally it's on it's way. I notice there is an EXTREMELY SLICK one on here already ( although confused at where you discuss them as you don't pst on the actual thread??? SIMM planning n building that up over the coming weeks/months and hopefully sharing some ideas and maybe asking the odd bit of advice from some of you pros on here.

When I'm not at work full time, I'm with my family, my boy has just turned 4. Like I say... I'm from Nottingham, work Mansfield and play... Nowhere! Mind you I do have a few bikes... Carbon full sus Cannondale, giant hardtail, blank: Media 20" - so I do enjoy to get out on those!

Plenty of us ride still in the Nottz / Leicester / Derby / Sheffield / Doncaster area fella.

Look in the members events and get your name down - we're a bit strange and daft but have a great laugh so who cares......

You're very lucky to be up there, plenty going on and as Spen says the rad lock-ins are a great laugh with a sound bunch of lads
Although I'm over 100 miles away I still consider the boardroom to be my 'local' for that reason, terminal 1 in melton is bigger and a bit more scary and the new park coming very soon in nottz looks the bollux

I'm at a wedding this sat chaps, is it a weekly jaunt? What are we talking about, indoor ramp park? Are you guys bust 360" tailwhips mid air/mid life?

If so, I got to see this... As much as I'm up for it... I've never done it! XC Downhill on a Mtb at 35mph is about as exhilarating as it gets for Hoops! I'm game though! What could possibly go wrong? You guys can teach me a few tricks can't ya!? =\

we range from 'very good' to 'why bother' but most attitudes can be summed up by saying 'just good enough to know how bad we are'...

we have a get together ever other week usually at indoor parks in Melton/Leicester/Sheffield and soon Nottingham

but theres a Halloween night this Sat and my Bday next ... also a few of us go to TRM1 in Melton Mowbray every Wednesday night

you will be very welcome(d) mate ... especially by small chap called Spen ... who loves new blood ... literally

Well I'd definitely fall into the 'why bother' catagory - but suspect if get some strange thrill from rolling up & down a sheet of plywood, kissing floor every other go! :-)

Oh, and Ed's comments about me..... Fair enough I have been known to encourage new blood to join us, but don't find yourself stuck in the bogs when he's in there is all i'll say. He's been telling all the newbies that what he does to them is part of the initiation ceremony but don't believe him.....
