Nice bike and story.   :daumenhoch:
It might just be the pictures, But in your original pics the centre of the pedals looks white. Would you have painted them back in the day and left the cages blue?

Thanks for the comments guys :daumenhoch:

Gary - Its just the picture, they are a picture of a picture so its very crap.
The pedals were defo blue cages with silver centres odyssey Triple traps . I got them from the bike shop the Goose came from ,free of charge after a weeks work experience with school. 8) haha

Nice bike and story.   :daumenhoch:

Talking of the bike shop , while cleaning out some draws the other day I found this. I really thought it got binned but nope. This is the original receipt of my villian from page 1 in the pictures.   :D ..

Its a shame the bike isn't the original one, as the invoice would have been a nice touch.  when I sold it I remember thinking do I keep it and hang it up on the wall. :-\  I had a lot of good memories with mates riding it about the streets and skatepark in Cheltenham.
Still that's why I decided to build a replica of it.  :daumenhoch:

I still got to paint strip the rear pegs that's on the to do list.  And Im still looking out for a xposure gyro cover if anyone knows of one knocking about  :daumenhoch:  .

After some rear mongoose stunt pegs if anyone has some ? I had a go with paint stripper on the rear pegs but god knows what they painted it with. Got some paint off but I can see why they painted them black lol really bad condition.

Alright dude, I found it on some mid school bmx Facebook page.  :LolLolLolLol: and even better was only a swap with some small parts. I really thought I'd never find one to replicate the old bike.

So still needed is black odi roughneck grips. I have clear at the moment. I know some black ones are listed on eBay from the USA but they are fakes.

Hi, I have, from what I know, a 1996 Mongoose Villain, as you will see from the pics it is in a poor condition but I have started restoring, please can you tell me where the Decals for yours come from as they are the same as the 1996 I think

Any help would be great?

Hi that is a survivor bike right there !
My decals have cracked  , not sure if this is a result of the oa bath I did or being kept out in a garage.
So I'd like some myself tbh. Who's making them for you and how much would it cost for a few sets to be made as I know of a few after them in blue.

I've finished a few other bikes so now just finishing off this one and managed to bag a new mongoose seat for the villain.

Picked up this nos mongoose seat other day.
Only fitted to a select few and very hard to come by.
The seat on the bike was very faded and you just can't beat a new one.

Pretty much all done now ! Fair play its taken some time to find all the parts but its done !
Found a pair of Black ODI Roughneck grips nos.
Replaced the rear pegs
Updated the seat clamp to a nos one.
Only taken about three years
This was the original back in 1996 that I sold for about £30 in 2000. With the help of this shot the above was built.
