Sounds good but no proof and no signature I would say worth about £70

"they couldnt match none of the parts to what they knew of so it must be rare"

couldn't match none? that means they must have matched them all...  ::)

Bet that was a fun phone call to Shiner  :uglystupid2:

Even if it was his, the fact it's been through Edith Beaumonts [sic] and Zane Lowe's hands should really knock £450 off it?

Why would he phone shiner??
I thought backyard and the seventies were sole importers of hoffman.  It all went through mad john who rode for hoffman.  :daumenhoch:

To be honest I can't see the bbc keeping the bike and letting a staff member sell it on. Surely it was given to the beeb to give away as a prize?
But then again after the recent happenings of the bbc behind closed doors. Who knows!!

However most times hoffman came to the uk he used to get a bike set up sent to the uk and then give it away to charity as it cost so much to ship it back. To him it wasn't worth it as he had them on the shelf back in the us.
Most got auctioned or were in a draw from the make a wish foundation.  :daumenhoch:

shiner imported the early condors then 70's took over around 95 i think?
that's just a stock condor probably donated by 70's,very doubtful Mat ever rode it.

Pretty sure Hoffman was already riding brakeless when Huck Jam came to town. That bike also looks bone stock to me and I dont recall Hoffman ever riding his bikes out the box. It was probably one of many stock condors handed out during PR events while the tour was in the UK. The seller is just confused or trying his luck in my opinion.
