Helmets are for benches !

me braking the world record for peg hop backs 100 IIRC must have thought i needed the helmet for this stunt!

i seem to remember it was painfull doing hop backs standing on those tiny alloy dome ended wheel nuts though

These are a few pic's of my long term friend and riding buddy from BITD, Gary Butler who rode with the Skyway Skyliners display team with Chris Young, Robert Bell and the like.

these were all taken at Rom and Bett's park (south london)

Love these pics Steve, total 80's radness. Had a little chuckle at the little kid in the faded blue jumper, riding around in the background on his mum's bike :) Bet he loved hanging round with you lot, in yer fancy gear :D

those pics of Betts park bring back some memories Steve, i went back a few months ago and sadly those ramps have gone now, but i shall never forget Skyways Andy Patterson jumping the double ramp and busting his head set on landing !!

loved the bike and the fila top!
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

I can never believe how far forward my bars were in that pic. the bikes aren a GHP on the left and the other bike is a Tange Rhino Pro complete with the original v bars swapped out for cdubs,  the alloy square tapered cranks didn't last much longer.  If you look at the lad on the right (moony), that dark square on the right of his stomach and on his left forearm is fresh dusty gravel rash and if you look very carefully at the top of his jeans, in the triangle of the bars, there is a dark spot. His grip came off earlier in the day and the bars stuck into his stomach, he was fookin mental  :slayer:

Great shots guys and thanks for pulling the thread from retirement  :daumenhoch:

Are those Bandito bars you have on that Aero Pro Pugsley? I wouldn't want to try that trick laying across the bike these days  :D   ;D

I`m not sure what make the bars were. I think they were a copy of the CW pro bars. I got them after I snapped the red Renthal bars on my Falcon pro in the other pictures(they looked a hell of a lot stronger). One of the cheeky young wippersnappers I ride dh with commented on the laying across the bike trick saying he`d give me a grand if I could do it now  ;D
