I've looked at the 'Tech how to' but the pics are not brilliant.

Can you really turn a set of old yellowish tuffs back to white using bleech ?

if they are white tuffs that have just yellowed with age, then yes ... eventually !  may take a few bleach's


but if they were actually yellow originally ... nope   not gonna happen

Hi,

no, i've seen a set of originally white ones which are bound to be a bit yellowish by now.

i have some new white tuffs on my haro, so it will really show them up for yellow, so would need to bleach them

Does the bleaching process affect the integrity of the plastic at all i.e. does it weaken it?

right im going all techy now....no....

dupont zytel is hydroscopic.....meaning it will absorb liquid, and aparantly this only makes it stronger.....

in english....no it wont hurt it mate

ive just bleached a set of yellows, depending on the ingrained dirt, you may need to give them a hell of a scrub with the green kitchen sponges as well.

worth the effort tho.

i find a kitchen pad wrapped around the handle of a teaspoon can provide a good contour for lots of the surfaces of the skyways, and the handle end for the tricky bits. it will save your fingers too.
