I can't wait for my birthday

I few people have been on the look out for a Riot f&f for me ... DiscoStu, Ian Egg, Olly Mbdh to name a few ... I even had a chat with early 90s legend Howard Radcliffe to see if he had one knocking about but he sold his last one 15 years ago.. but so far its all been dead ends as everyone that owns one is not keen to say goodbye to their prize

I kept the drill away from the Big Boy after a load of advice not to fuk it up! I've got the Riot decals.. I've got the Riot bashguard... and last night I brought some WAL bars from Joe Hboost to keep me focused ... but it was started to seem like I was in it for the long game

Then... I got a pm from Olly first thing this morning and things suddenly looked very exciting

He had tracked me down a Riot... negotiated a top price and hooked me up with the owner... the next hour was a blur... Olly sent me a BITD pic of the bike... I got eh kidds to school... rang the owner... did the deal... and the WAL was mine

been on a high ever since!

Looks like I've pretty much got a complete bike apart from the wheels ... but I won't know for sure until it arrives - I do know that its got no declas or bashguard! happy days as I already have both

. There's nothing I wanted more then one of these so I've decided to leave it wrapped up in the box until my birthday on Nov. 3rd ... just to let the excitement build for a bit longer

Big thanks to all who have been on the hunt and a special massive hug for Olly who really did 'make my year'

Here's the pic from the 90s that Olly sent me ... the former owner has had it since new ... hes had to sell some stuff to finance a career change!

He told me he snapped the original forks but got another set of black WAL forks on warranty ... now I'm thinking about black bars to match

I've been loving these bikes since I got back into the world of bmx in 2009 ... Robbo's one was always in my favorites

So I've got one old ( DP ), one mid ( WAL ) and one new ( Supercross ) ... sorted

nice one Ollie. It looks like a few people on rad are getting their grails this week. I think the mid school section is going to be busy over the next few months.

talk to my friend jeremy if you want to keep it all chrome.as you know he's about to paint his chrome one black so maybe you could just swap forks

Thats great news Ed! If it was me i would have ripped that box clean open the minute it hit my front door. You have a lot of will power if you can have it sitting there and not open it.

Seeing how much you wanted it ed why don't you push the boat out and get it re chromed! Make her a proper show winner!
