Popped round tonight , & it was fookin heaven  :smitten:
All the jigs & tools were amazing , even stuff from bitd  , there was a one off curtis cruiser he made  :4_17_5:
Original 80s stickers  :D
During the chat I talked about  other makes of bmx Kuwie etc
Something I dident know was that Spielberg enquired about Curtis when  the film was in early days , but he couldn't
meet the demand , cause he was a one man band making bmx in a shed  ^"^
In the corner was a redline st.20 f&f with redline stamped v bars , stamped Haro bars etc , amazing
Back to Curtis
I enquired if he was going to make reissue curtis frame & forks
& to my delight he said yer  ;)
I said if your gona make a reissue you don't wanna balls it up like so many others

& his reply was  imm going to make them exactly the same using the same old proven tools ...geomotory , dropouts  , t45 tubing ,
basically the same but 30 plus years on
He said he's looking at several chromers  at the moment too , some will be painted as well

One thing I was happy about  although the frame & forks will be identical , he will mark the frame with bc ( Brian Curtis )
So people will know they are repos & not 80s , good thing I think

He said f&f will be out next year  ^"^

Sorry cant post pics at the moment , but got loads on fone

Ok guys update  :)
Brian will building as follows
# expert pro
# cruiser
# possible freestyle  ( depending on interest )
F&f will come with headset as per back in the day
Finish will be chrome & decaled up or left bare for powdering obviously bit cheaper minus chrome.
Brian said he will be doing a limited number of frames & forks , as the man hours to build will be allott
F&f will be on a 1st come 1st served basis
The f&f will be about £650 , depending on material cost,  t45 tubing ,chroming , etc etc ,

He said he would like £100 deposit to reserve f&f

He has given permission to ring him on his landline on 01373 300921 between 7.00 & 9.00 pm
For any questions or to reserve  :)
Ps only genuine enquiries please  ;)

Ps imm in no way connected to this , all sales will be going through Brian himself
just giving a heads up to people that love the hobby of old school bmx
Like myself & others thanks mark
& keep it British  :Great_Britain:

Seems a bit steep to me £650 . Especially when an 80's one goes for half that .

dont think its bad myself ,
the man hours that go into building a frame & forks ?
People pay more for a haro freestyler that comes off
a production line , the price represents the man hours
of building a hand made frame & forks,  plus t45 tubing
is a dearer material than chrome moly .
Brazing oposed to welding etc

ps not disrespecting haros just an example of what
people pay  :)
