There's a few I've seen from peoples rides  on here  that'll do it for around £180 frame and forks ,, but IMO are about 7.5 out of 10

there's a place over Yorkshire ,is it Allens   ??? , somebody will come up with the name I'm sure.
They are meant to be faultless.  :4_17_5:

Just means you posting thats all  :)

Well! I got shock from Allens ! they quoted £200 - 250 for the re chroming of a frame only and said it would take 18 weeks.. :wtf:
Part of me thinks I was getting a polite FCUK off ..!!  :LolLolLolLol:

Think I will go to plan B and strip the chrome myself and paint it white

which leads me to my next question, Whats the best way to strip chrome?
lookin on the internet everything from oven cleaner to coke cola does the job

Any suggestions

Thanks

Normally just powder over the chrome  :daumenhoch:

200 - 250 for a Frame and 18 weeks  :uglystupid2:

Yep sounds like a thanks but no thanks

I used a company in Coventry for bike and car parts they are not cheap  :crazy2: but their work is spot on and its a case of you get what you pay for  :daumenhoch:

They took 6 weeks for a F&F and that included some resto work on the forks  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

Can do if you want  :-\

But 99.9% of people just powder over the chrome  :daumenhoch:

Prices vary a little up there, it depends whether you speak with Dad or son   ::)
£200 for Frame &Forks for me but took better part of 3 and a half months to get back.
Worth the wait mind as the work was 1st class....
