db resto project
« on: September 13, 2012, 08:18 PM »
some of you may have seen this one on the bay last week,it was local to me so it was worth a punt and as i mentioned before the db viper was the first bmx that i pleaded with my parents to buy me for crimbo 83,i ended up with a viceroy!! not only did i win it to my surprise but the owner was taking a day trip to weymouth on the saturday and dropped it down to me too,you cant ask for much more than that!!the owner said to me well done for winning it as it had generated alot of interest,im not surprised really as its 100% as it rolled out of the shop bitd even down to the chain gaurd and reflectors!it looks like it was hardly used, even the ends of the grips arent damaged, its just missing the fork decals!!!to say its going to take some work is an understatment but experiance tells me that it will come up decent enough.for now it will be stripped, coke and tin foiled and given a good going over with peek, maybe one day it may get a rechrome, with all the original parts which although covered in dust and bird poo looking like they are in really nice condition it gives me the opportunity to have a mint 100% factory correct viper without sourcing fook all,we will see,for now im just made up to finally have the bike i never had!!

A VERY MUCKY GUSSET ;D
