Rights lads need some recommendations for my 6 year olds next ride.

He's done his time on a hand me down and now he's after a "proper bmx" (his words). 16" is what I'm thinking but I need some inspiration and advice.

Post up any you've built up or know of any suitable rides out there. I'm fooked if I'm going to let his mum get him a Ben 10 bike or something equally ridiculous.

Cheers

Michael

Our lass' little lad is 6, not overly tall and he's riding a 20" mini reasonably comfortably. He'll be able to use it for a while as I will just change the one piece crank to a longer one as he gets older.

Just a thought :daumenhoch:
Who wants to ride with Eddie Fiola?

Can't wait till my eldest asks that question as I have a 16" Lil Ripper with Tuffs waiting for her already. Bought it s/h for £130 about 2yrs ago and will probably have to have it powdered pink but who cares, it's a PK Ripper underneath whatever colour it ends up!
Still limping......

I would say a 16" is to small for a six year old. I would look at an 18" bike.  :daumenhoch:

I've got a Tony Hawk 16" BMX for my lad for Christmas. He'll be almost 6 then. It's a long frame so will be well big enough for him (exactly same length as his race bike).

Saw the Sunday Lil Spark 16 at the Rad Shop last week. Absolutely stunning.  :smitten:

My daughter decided she wanted the Haro Z16 'girls BMX' instead. Girls....

If I can get him to ride it, I've got a Stolen Nipper for my 5 year old. But just finished doing up the 16" condor I got for him. Who could resist riding that!. Both are nice bikes but the condor feels so well built!.

I've got a 16" GT for Isabella, she's 5 and it fits her perfect I’d say she’ll be fine for a year or so however if she keeps up the attitude I don’t think she'll see 6

 :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)
