Dirtbike :: CUSTOM DECALS NOW ON
« on: September 06, 2012, 07:54 PM »
Did a deal with Gav for his unfinished NG Dirtbike build, and finally after an epic wait due to Parcelforce it arrived and i got to swap some parts out and make it my own

Just a rough build up right now, which isnt without trouble, as the front tyre is so fat i cant pump it up :( easily fixed though

how i got it from Gav

and after a quick play, first on padset, think i might loose the bar pad and just run the top tube pad

DB stem gone and replaced with redneck

renthal 36t to give the brakes some room

grey grips, pedals and primo lever, little splash of blue with the cable and a splash of red with the headset spacer

UPDATE

So went to work this morning annoyed that the front tyre was too fat to pump, and niggled that it just didnt look as awesome when it was built, so spent the day at work stripping all the parts off all my bikes in my head and tring them all on the dirtbike, heres the results so far

Black king 36t spocket and Primo dirt monsters and got rid of the bar pad   :smitten: now we are getting there I think

UPDATE

I realise this build isnt to everyones taste, so these decals are really going to part the waves I'm sure, but they are quiet apt  for someone like me that has had rizlas in their pocket for the last 20years!!!!

Now they are on, they make the green anno on the top of the 990 pop out, so now im thinking scrap the grey peds and grips and go with green and the get the forks painted black

craps pics taken on my phone as pretty busy right now!!!!

big love out to Carl for these decals

Nice bike.
I had the bar/frame pad dilema on my GT, frame pad only is the best in my opinion too.

That does look really nice, too bad this ring is too lightweight as it is sharp looking

It is a stunning chainwheel and weighs fook all, but i reckon just pushing the pedal down too hard would kill it!!!!!

yes it is a bit proud the machined recess in the headtube isnt deep enough for the cup to sit flush, I have to take it out and machine some off
