Haro sport frame and forks prices....advice please
« on: August 31, 2012, 08:23 PM »
Hi guys
I've just been to look at a '85 Haro sport f&f set
Pretty good around, ie no damage, just lots of storage scratches etc, so needs a powder and decal job,
Just wondering if you guys can give me a ball park figure of what to be paying for these

Thanks  :)

Thanks guys
Well its a good job I have as you in the know will realise its an '84  !!

Its been powder coated but has a few smal chips and scratches so would prob do again before building

many thanks for your input  :)

Have also been offered an '85, is there much difference in these, build and desirability wise ?
Main dif seems to be location of the coaster brake

Also the 85 has standing platforms build in to the rear drop-outs & peg bosses on the forks :daumenhoch:

That's a Gen 3 Thai made 84 Sport, or could be an 84/5 FST, so do check  :daumenhoch:

Yes all of the Haro's from the 3rd gen 84s were known as Overseas or Thai made, before this they were made by Torker  :daumenhoch:

It is very hard to price things really, but Sports seem to go for a bit less than Masters, the best way is to check on ebay & for sale sections on forums  :daumenhoch:

Nice frameset  8)

Have you worked out if it's an 84 sport or an FST yet ??? Think im right in saying the top tube length is the biggest giveaway , sports are 19 1/2 and FST's are 18 1/2  ;)

Either way it will make a great project  :daumenhoch:

Thanks guys, I think he's after too much for it really
I had a look about nd they're def much less desirable that the master, and also the Torker made ones

Back on the lookout.... Got my eye on a complete one so we'll see what happens with that
Thanks for the input chaps.

If its a rider then the sport rides nicer than the master  :daumenhoch:

If its a rider...then the overseas later type (which that was) is a better bet. Like most american made stuff they were a bit flimsy the GEN 1 & 2 Masters/ sports.

The sports has a bigger top tube so gives a bit more space for the ol belly these days ::)

Looking at the length of the top tube I'll have a punt at it being an FST

I thought the same Mark looking at the picture quick, but it's a Sport if it has machined headtube and BB.
