Mystery hubs

Hello all !
I've a pair of sealed bearings hubs who were on a MRD Mini Expert. They were laced to Sun Mistral rims. All the components are era correct (1984 to 1986) in regard of the frame/fork who are from September 1984. They look a little bit like Bullseye or Phil Wood, but they aren't. They look like high end hubs and are light. The body is one piece made, the bearing are quality and sealed, the bolts are stainless steel. I remember reading (in 1985) in a French BMX magazine that hubs were on project by MRD. Were ever hubs made by MRD ? Or are they mid school hubs ? Do you know what do I have for hubs ? Yes they are nice hubs. And I forgot to tell that they are 36 holes, so logically they weren't especially made for a mini.

very nice  agree on the MRD link cos he had it down 2 do hubs but we do not know if he did  If u let them go and find out they have anything 2 do with MRD first dib dobs

Maybe. I was thinking to Parker hubs, or PMC, but the way the bearings are comprimed by the black washers on the rear hub isn't so much 90'.

The spoke holes look big aswell 4 heavyduty spokes which is midschool ?

If it wasnt for the female axels I would've said they were Formula hubs

as far as i know mrd were going to make hubs stems cranks etc

but if never happened as the bottom dropped out of bmx

They look like some mid school ones I had on some HP48's

Yes, they have a mid school look. But this March Mini Expert,  apart these mystery hubs, was equiped with parts who were no later than 1986 : 85 DC MX 901, Powerlite bars, Uni seat/seatpost, first gen. DK seatpost clamp, AM'E grips, Suntour XC II pedals, Sugino Maxy 152 crank, early mini DK stem, Swiss Edco headset, Tioga Comp III 1985-1988 label tires, Sun Mistral rims (they were a lot used in the mid school era, but were already made in 1984).

There are slots on the axle ends, what do both options measure? (fat bit and slotted bit)

Yes, both of the axles have flats. As you know all, usually only the front axle has slots. On my hubs, both axles are 8 millimeters on the slots and 12 millimeters on the flat side.
I was thinking that that can be track hubs, but with a lot of search, I have not found anything like that.

I would say track hubs but it will be a needle in a haystack. I am kind of thinking 90's cos of the bolts though

what ever they are they look well made

Yes, they are very well made and look solid. I can't find what make they are. I've seen Atak (american made mid school)  hubs on a google search which have the most resemblance with mine.
