I thought that seperating the Race and Freestyle bikes looked great!  all those mid 80's colours in a row looked proper 80's!

Loved the Pink Hutch Trickstar as well  :smitten:  the Red one next to it wasn't half bad either  ;D

Loved Snavs little motorbike survivor , proper nice little survivor and really good fun to sit on and make motorbike noises.

I thought that the Black Zeronine was really nice and the attention to detail was excelent

all of Ashs SE's were top notch , really liked the older theme he had going on.

Sawzalls side hack , it was his BITD and fully restored by him and his wife. cracking job

The haro gen 1 with spokes was nice to see as well

The same could be said for the lads who raid Shiners stall , stocking up on loads of bits that obviously they will never use themselves . In it for the wrong reasons i guess  :-\

Just sayin   :daumenhoch:

But those are the same people that build there bikes for themselves and will have parts on stock so will have no need to hunt them down  ::)

They don't need trophy's  :daumenhoch:

I find it odd that Carls and Darrens bikes have been mentioned on various threads but didn't figure in the show n shine  :-\    :-X

I'll try and answer this one if anyone thinks that somethings amiss here?

And only using Darren's GJS as the example but not isolating it:

This truly did stand out from the crowd.....  :daumenhoch: However it wasn't original - the stem, pedals, hubs and seat clamp were all sprayed up with the same orange paint (colour coded for effect). The effect was that it looked great.

Unfortunately that does not count as original finish, Its difficult to judge when the bike looked so good, but you must surely all agree that this is about old school bmx and not a custom bike show. Custom Bikes at present fall into the retro new school, where you can do anything you like, only your imagination is the limit.

The bikes that were medaled or got trophies in our opinion's encapsulated Old School BMX in its truest sense - both nostalgic and original. (original finishes where applicable, original parts - No repro parts got through to our knowledge as that's too easy). etc. etc.

Its been said before, but I will say it again here, it was very difficult to judge with so many great bikes this year.

Hmmmm 3 bikes  :crazy2: :crazy2:

1.....Phils Orange Vincent, always loved this bike and it's even better now.

2..... The blue and gold cyclepro. Beautiful.

3..... Dans Profile Cruiser.

I appreciate the peeps that have commented on my Zeronine Pro XL, there was nearly 18 months of work there to get it how i would have wanted it back in the day.

One build a year, the only way to get it right. No rushing involved.

Please don't take this the wrong way, as it is a brilliant piece of engineering, and I have nothing but respect for Steve (Animal) and what he does, but is his stem on the MRD not a replica?

To be fair I think there is a pretty big difference between someone custom making a piece that is literally rocking horse poo, and going to porkchop and buying a reprop item for example. That stem was a work of art and far from a knock off item someone can buy off the shelf. Thats the way I see it anyway, but I hear your point.

EDIT TO ADD: Just to clarify I was not a judge at MK, Im just offering my 2p.  :daumenhoch:

There was nothing in the rules about bikes with repop parts not being eligible to win the S and S. ???
