« on: August 03, 2012, 12:06 AM »
IN THE MIDDLE OF DOING A 98 PERFORMER LOOKED BACK ON OLD PHOTO'S WHEN I GOT IT , TURNS OUT ITS A VERTIGO.
THE STORY SO FAR

HAD THIS LYING ABOUT LOOKING A BIT TIRED SO WENT TO WORK. HAD IT BLASTED AND POWDERED.THEN CLEANED UP ALL THE BITS I COULD SAVE.
HAD AN OLD SET OF GT TAN WALLS THAT HAD SEEN BETTER DAYS(PLENT OF TREAD , BUT A BIT FADDED ) SO I DECIDED TO HAVE A GO AT WHITE WALLING EM. CAME OUT OK FOR ARIDER.
HAD SOME NEW DECALS DONE .
NEW NOS SEAT , BRAIDED BRAKE CABLES.
MANAGED TO SAVE AND CLEAN THE REST OF THE PARTS. STILL HAVE THE AIRBAGS FOR IT TOO.
AND MANAGED TO PUT IT TOGEHTER ON A BUGET OF £174.99, PITY IT WASN'T A BIT OLDER EH  ;)
PICS SO FAR .......

To be honest steve didn't want to paint them , but spent hours trying to get the side walls clean and wasn't happening.
Managed to get proper tyre paint off the bay as recommended by old school hod rod fella's.
And seeing how much a good set of tan walls sell for , was probably more than the bike is worth..

Them race patern sidewalls were never as bright as the freestyle tab walls :(

What paint did you use anyway?
