Mad Dog Completes the collection!
« on: July 31, 2012, 04:50 PM »
Had the last 2 days off work, finally time to get my maddog built up! massive thanks to dannywac for sorting me out with one from the states!

Also had enough time to bring down from the attic my other bikes and fix them up with updated parts I had been buying up recently, hopefully this means my collection is complete  :)

and here she is:

mad dog 89 frame
88 S&M forks
87-88 gen 1 slam bars
TNT stem
Profile cranks with shimano dx pedals and redline sprocket
White S&M pads
peregrine/araya wheelset with IRC 2.1 tyres
Dominator seat with S&M post
pitbull caliper

and here are all four together - 94 dirtbike, 91 dirtbike, 89 dirtbike, 89 maddog

thanks mate, the 94 dirtbike was bought complete off ebay UK, only the bars and frame are original to how it was  bought.
the 91 dirtbike was bought as a complete bike from ebay US 2 years ago, only frame forks and bars are original to how it was bought
the 89 blue dirtbike was bought complete last month from ebay US
and the maddog was a frame only from US, got it through a member here a few months back

its all out there you just gotta get in there fast! haha, early S&M's dont hang around long

haha yeah I know, im not a fan but i really wanted a white seat, I missed the auction deradline for an 89 white padded 'look' seat, fully gutted, so had to go with a shitty plastic one, as I said before, still looking for a few bts and pieces here and there ha

Very nice.   8)

I love the blue Dirtbike. I always liked that colour.  :daumenhoch:

What are the toptube lengths of the frames? Ive measured my old frames and it turns out that my mk1 dirtbike (with a "P" in the frame number, for pro length) is shorter than my Mad Dog (with an "S" for standard length).  :crazy2:
