backyard ramp
« on: July 01, 2006, 11:58 PM »
here are a couple of pics of the progress of my ramp, its 18ft wide, 7ft high with 7ft3inch transitions.  just started putting in struts on the transitions yesterday when carlo turned up to say hello, and i was blown away, as he had mr andy shohara with him. I was stoked and andy borrowed my bike to go and ride with carlo.
Now that dont happen every day!!
It was cool to meet andy and be able to show him the ramp, Carlo reckons he should be able to get 10ft out of my ramp when its done, that should freak the neighbours out, ha ha...
and finally a big shout out to the keyhole kid and sawzall for helping me out with wood,  you guys are welcome anytime :daumenhoch:
more pics soon

steve :daumenhoch:

dont worry guys, i will be chopping it down slightly to match your ramp. I have managed to squeeze 11ft flat bottom so it should be ok pete, fuzzy, you will have to come and try it out. If you do find it a bit hairy you can chill out on my daughters swing with a beer or two :LolLolLolLol:
I will keep you updated

cheers steve :daumenhoch:

dont want to worry you or anyone else building ramps but watch out for the council, they made simon tabron & a few others pull theirs down due to planning permission, neighbours, risk & insurance etc.... make sure you have gone through the right channels to build these ramps & i dont want them pulling down before my leg heals :)
