It will never break, I don't think standard ever had breaking issues, especially with the sta.

That's a nice bike.

nice to find a complete like that, as said ready to ride.

nice to see a set of Metal bars, although they look like they've been cut down (ahem) slightly
I always fancied a pair of their bars in day glo pink

Cheers, yep bars have been cut down a wee bit,you can still steer it though ;)That chin beard chainring gotta go though, its for a cack footed rider  ;DIts got a tank chain or something on it and needs a few links taking out to slam it,i can feel myself buying a new chain tool again soon if it destroys mine :LolLolLolLol:

Looks like someone can't measure properly. One side of the bars is shorter than the other :2gunsfiring_v1:so they'll need sorting out. Also on the lookuot for a pair of black strip bars if anyone has any :daumenhoch:

Been fiddling about with it today.Took a few links out the tank chain to slam back wheel, had to use a punch to hammer the pin out, pain in arse.De-stickered most of it,put a primo chain pull on,pegs on,chainwheel chin beard of(weighed 8oz)and gave it a good alround clean. :)

nothing wrong with left foot leading riding. Means were are special!
I bought A general lee with a nice set of volume bars on it but one side was shorter than the other. To cut them down evenly they would be 22inches :(

Update on STA..New Standard strip bars and stem,Oddy twisted pedals,Salt pivotal post and UGP hot wheels pivotal seat,Salt plus lever and Tioga Street block tyres, front 2.25 back 2.15.And piston valve caps 8).Was going to put a Profile chainwheel on but took cranks off then realised the spacer on the Mutiny chainwheel didnt fit the Profile and had no spare,so had to put the Mutiny back on :tickedoff: :LolLolLolLol: Weight now....32lb,may get some 36h wheels for it,we'll see...
