thanks to super dan for powder coatingyeah sorry for got to say that super dan of here did the lovely paint job
powderd 3 times and hand carved between each coat to get it perfect for me
so its nice and smooth .so if any one needs bits powder coated
see dan lol

hes based in dagenham just up the rd to me house lol
he charged me a bit more cos of the amountof work he had to do
i will ask him for prices and post them up or pm him

ok how to ruin ure fresh powder coat with a hinged seat clamp

lucky for me its hidden once seat clamp is on

Like that lots! Its great to see someone rescue a frame/bike from the scrap heap and restore it back to its original glory. If you have the skill and know how to do this, you should. Im sure most people (including myself) weigh up the trouble of the repair, paint, sourcing decals and the time spent restoring and think, might as well just buy one thats already done. Just my view but what a great turn around, well done mate!

how did you danage the powder like that?!?!
When i used to do powder coating, the first one of the line (whatever it was, say a chair frame) we used to beat it with a hammer, proper smash shite out of it.
If it chipped (at all) then something wasnt set up right.

well you see wot i did was try and fit the clamp which was slightly to small
and it had a couple of layers theres aswel and it just fell off
lol .where did u work the as i worked a apex metal finishers

me too, danes road yeah? I was there bout 10 years ago, started as a finisher, then did various plating, then chroming and powder coating. Ended up as trainee maintenance engineer, then quit!
Used to spend alot of time sunbathing on the roof ;D
