BMX trophy history found this morning

I needed some engraving done 4 a little BMX project I have on the go . Was recommended 2 a small shop right round the corner from where I live in Walsall Wood by a work mate. Any how went and the old guy in there is gonna sort my stuff no worries I hope   Got chatting 2 him about my hobby etc as u do   Turns out his name is John White and bitd he made up and engraved all the trophies 4 Birmingham Wheels and also the Kelloggs Championships. Remembers Andy Ruffell, Tim Match etc. Says he still has some medals and trophies that he is gonna look out 4 me when I pick my bits up   Guy was really really nice and a nice bit of History discovered on my doorstep almost by accident. Made my weekend has that

Just goes to show you never know who you're gonna bump into 

It's surprising how many people were involved in BMX in some shape or form in the early 80's
