Used it loads of times, it does exactly what it says on the tin, put some OA in water and mix well, place the frame or parts in the solution, cover and leave for 24 hours and you should have no more rust.

Remember, even though the rust will be gone the bit that the rust was on will no longer have a finish on it, if the rust has eaten through the metal then you will be left with a hole.

If it's just surface rust though, the chrome finish will be there still??  I mean, it won't be flat and will shine with a polish yes?

Forgive me for being dumb  :-[

P.S Where is best to get OA from?

I use this stuff on nearly every bike I restore and it is amazing.

Best place to get it is ebay. You can get 500g delivered for about £3.00 from a few places on there.  :daumenhoch:

As for surface rust you will find that the rust "bubbles" up and out of a small hole in the chrome, and when the OA has done its job it will appear that the chrome is still there. However the holes in the chrome will always be there, and if you dont look after the bike the rust comes back. As for deeper more serious rust if it get real bad the chrome starts to flake, and sometimes pitting occurs. As mentioned above the rust will go but there is nothing you can do about the damaged surface below.
