My New Project
« on: June 25, 2006, 08:28 PM »

Raleigh Burner, God knows what year its from but ive been told some of the bits on this are worth £££ i got this for nothing was laying on a pile of bricks so i thought "i cant let it suffer" took it and at this moment in slowly restoring it,

what i can make out at the moment it has:

Skyway Tuff II's,
some funky looking grips
and rust! (alot of the stuff)

can anyone help me with the year is and what the name of some of the bits are :)

Thanks,

Ben  :D

It's an early 80's Raleigh Tuff Burner. 82?
It looks like most of the components there are original (grips and possibly bars excluded)
The wheels are valuable if they're in good condition, but then again they belong on that bike - you could restore it as a complete bike, you have almost all the parts already.
A very nice find.

They do look like cobra grips...

All looks to be original cept the grips... you'll need some oakley F1 spotty grips or fuan do decent copies.

Would you like to sell the bike to me :) ??

Yep...all original except the bars and foam grips... If you want to stay true to original spec then foam ones are the way to go :daumenhoch:
