I bought mine last month from DansComp but be warned, by the time it arrived it was nearing the 50 quid mark.......

Yup, it cost $9.99, by the time it reached checkout it was $40-odd, by the time it reached the UK. A LOT more........

sometimes it can work out cheaper getting new forks with ad lugs on if you keep yr eyes peeled on teh bay, winstanleys,etc...

new forks aint a easy option as they are 1" threadless
will have a look at wankstanleys but they usually fail at everything

brake plates are getting rare now, i have the above one and found another one the same tucked away today!!!
i started a brake plate thread awhile ago here

best ones are the tektro ones (textro and best in the same sentence!!!!) as they are alloy and have 2 ridges on the rear which butt up against the inside of the fork legs stopping the brake plate being able to move left to right
