Flatland Newbie

Ok for the pure reason it looks ultra kool..  Ive decided I want to get into flatland...watched videos, seen people do it, read bits and bobs but know nothing much about it really. Any advice? Ive put an ad in the wanted section but as i know nothing about flatland i dont know what im looking for. HELP!

be patient with it,takes years. practice ALOT.
more chance of you giving up smoking than nailing flatland.
got a few bits here if you live near sunny suffolk.

1. get a bike
2. find some flat land

if you haven't got 1 or 2 sorted yet, try practicing by spinning round and round and round on the spot and seeing how long you can go before you vomit

Cheers guys, the more info the better, yea harris im deffinatly not expecting to be the next flatland king really but am going to atleast try to get jester position! Thanks glen for the site, griff i had alot of practice at spinning in circles, my fav game as a kid was dizzy dinosaws, try it drunk whilst looking up, pointing to the sky with one hand and finger on nose with the other, last time my friend did ithe ended up in a hedge, was incredibly funny

i ride flatland, bit more old and mid school than the new style of flat riding but thats due to knackered body parts  and being over 40.

good online flatland store in the uk is flatsquirrelbmx.

google it. got a fair few things from there.
