removing hard annodising

i know oven pride removes annodising (done it a few times)

but what about hard annodising, have heard that oven pride wont touch it, if so what will?

Not really sure what "Hard Anodising" is, but it is probably a misnomer. 

If an alloy is "Anodised" the process can always be reveresed using a strong alkali (eg Oven Pride); this is fundamental chemistry. 

I suspect that for "Hard Anodising" the anodised surface is over varnished with a lacquer of some sort to protect it; in this case you will first need to remove the lacquer, before resorting to Sodium Hydroxide / Caustic / Oven Pride to remove the anodised surface.

If it's a headset that you are trying to do ~ like a tange 300 or so then oven pride is fecking usless 

haven't found any thing that will shift it, apart from polishing it out

caustic is the only way to remove hard anno kev,it takes ages but it will shift it,just keep checking

and use a scotch brite pad to rub item being stripped and dont forget some industrial rubber gloves and goggles

hard anno is just more anno if that makes sense. it's just a bigger layer.
