ok im ging to come out and let you all know im building a larege wheeled single speed bike !!!!!!! it wont be a fixie and it will have a brakes lol

i need to put a short reach stem on it and was thinking of getting a new flatland redneck or a tomahawk stem.

i dont know what size standard clamping area is on a bmx stem. does anybody know? also does anybody know where i may find short rise style bars to fit it

these mtb and road bikes are all over the place with sizes its a joke

Is it a quill or ahead stem you are after fitting?

its an a-head stem im building a singlespeed road bike to get to work on and want to use bmx stem. ive found out they are 22.2 clamping size but most bars in a straight or road bike style have a largr clamping area. i just need to find a company that makes suitable bars now.

annd swaz thanks for your offer but im building up a modern road bike so them bars wouldnt be any help good to me.

Try looking at junior race bikes, They range from 2 inch rise up to 4 inch without a cross bar, Should be strong enough for a FIXIE to ride to work on. :LolLolLolLol:

or I have these low riser bars with 1 1/8th stem
