Hello from Kent
« on: May 24, 2012, 08:44 PM »
Just want to say hello to everyone, I've just bought my old Supergoose back after selling her 32 years ago after giving up racing. She's now restored, but with a modern twist, but don't worry I've kepted all the original bits as well..... So I can put it back to totally original if I want..

I'm in a town called Tenterden.... i'll get some pictures up as soon as i work out how to get them on here and then i'll wait for all the abuse... lol. It's taken 6 months to restore and 2 Chrome finishers to get it perfect. The first company were crap... the 2nd company, Allens Chroming and finishers, are without a doudt 'Awesome'.. and well worth the wait.
All i need to find is a seat-post and yellow seat, as i have a yellow 'Uni seat' and post on it at the moment, which is great, but i've put a few pounds on since i last rode and don't want to break it.. and lastly a yellow pad set...

Thanks for all your comments, I'll post some pictures of its original wheels in the next day or so, the Skyways are just for practising on. The stem's  going to be changed soon back to its original 'Gold Stem' once ive finished polishing it. Allens chroming is in Poklington, and are simply the best..... :daumenhoch:

Hello Martin, Allens Chroming are in Poklington, York, tel. (01759) 303788 their web address is www.allenchrome.co.uk.
These guys are simply the best, you may have to wait, but it is definitely worth it, I will not go anywhere else now. I had it chromed first by a company in Kent and they completely f****d it up, and the guys at Allens rescued it. Price is all dependant on the work you have done, but let me tell you Allens are really competive on price, ie half the price of the original Chromer's
Hope this helps.
