Has anyone got any info on old Powerlites? 20" and the rare 24" if any?

might have the chance of bagging one but need some info from anyone out there in Radlands on things to look out for/specs and stuff......as i don't know a great deal about them

They're not common Rob - the only thing I do know are the late 80's/ early 90's ones were welded up by GT

Early powerlites were made by VDC

Have a look on bmx museum there's plenty of em on there

The one to have is the early one with the sexy big flat brake bridge (not tube) I had one when I got back into this about ten years ago, gotta be one of the nicest frames I've owned or rode. Been lookin for them on n off but havnt seen any over here other than a 20" one in the trade section a while back. Grossly overlooked over here because they have always been so rare.. The early ones where a much better frame n fork quality wise to GTs and CWs BITD looked n rode much better due to the longer top tube,, lght n strong too, fook, wish I still had mine

Dont confuse with comments above with the later ones coz they are mass producede cack in comparison n prob the reason the older ones get over looked when they do come up
good luck finding one, especially a 24" I've only ever seen one

Think diesel has still got a cruiser,have to agree get an early vdc made one there the dogs doo dahs

I've got something with virtually the same brake bridge as that Dan (although mines a double plate):

Forgot to add - was told (by the owner of the bike company) that these were made by GT for them in the late 80's

deep pockets, i'm sure one of these went on USEBAY a few years back for about $900! n thought WTF! nice but WTF! but i didnt know they were VDC n the yanks obviously did
