the og padset is intriguing me

They're first gen OG pads too

They have OSAKA JAPAN printed below the logos in white and a weird peachy orange foam stitched to the pads which is pretty dry now. Cali Lites went on to make them BITD and most repops have the OSAKA JAPAN print in black

Tyres came from Lee (Kalex) - top fella. I've also sourced some blue 80x's and some blue IRC Grippa's with a Comp II pattern - never seen those before...

any idea what year the cali lite pads were used from

To the best of my knowledge 83 - they're both a different size and colour to the Osaka pads. The Cali Lites came in more vibrant blues, yellows etc and had a matching colour foam inner, The Osaka pads were bigger (longer) and had white inners except the odd beige/pink stitched in foam on the stem pad.

One leg is higher than the other so when a wheel was dropped in it was out of alignment! Only noticed at Xmas when I got it out of the box to show some friends and then it was one of them that spotted it!

Dom Phippsio is a legend as are the guys at Haro who sent me the replacement pair with no hassles whatsoever
