Any tips for getting these bad boys on without scratching my bars to bits?

Cheers

I came up with an even better and much easier solution to the Tech 5 problem...

Take 2 M6 bolts and one M6 thin nut that you can squeeze into the gap in the brake clasp.

Tighten the lower bolt (closest to the lever) into the nut but not past it into the threaded side.  Now tighten the other bolt into the threaded side of the brake clasp - when it meets the opposite bolt a few more turns and it pushes that side open and viola! You can get the Tech 5 on without touching your powder coat.

Now WD your grips on, position the lever and then take out the bolts and it'll grip nicely ready for the correct fixing bolt.

Hope this helps somebody as i tried the Tech 5s on 6 different bars and they were too tight for all of them  ???

Cheers

I just stuck a large flat-bladed screwdriver between the gap and levered it slightly......worked a treat....but don't overdo it as I can see disaster striking.  :)
