Depends on what your dying but I'd go for RIT Dye

Get it off ebay  :daumenhoch:
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

I had to buy online when I did a seat not long ago.  Went to countless shops and nobody stocks it anymore

For dying seats is Rit based on the same process as using Dylon...?   So 2 packs per seat in a bucket with 500g of salt for 2 hours...?  ???

Dylon no longer avalible in the small tins - multi purpose - cold dye

muti-purpose is the only dylon to dye nylon

rit is the same type of stuff but has different colours - more new, to the old school colours dylon did

What are the popular colours in the dylon tins?
I came across a cache of them the other day but i couldnt remember the "stock" colours people use..... besides the black  ;)

On a related note, there is a chance i may have a way to dye the plastics dylon wont touch. Will let you all know how i get on  :daumenhoch:

If it was, I wouldn't be on here so much.  I would be stocking up on cucumbers and mirrors, and having a few nights in  ;)

Yep, i recall at least half of those names on that chart. My missus bought 7 or 8 for her textile work. They were all MP and some just had number but no names (i guess the older ones). They had around 35/40 in a box. What part of the country are in in Bendy? a good friend of mine

On the dying of other plastics, a good friend of mine works with plastics alot and has to colour them for her work. it only dawned on me the other day that the industrial dyes she uses might work. Going to get some off her next week and have a crack at something  :daumenhoch:

Hey Devilock if you want me to pick you up some colours just let me know which you need, Likewise Bendy. They had been reduced to a quid each but not all colours were available. (might be able to get a discount if i buy the lot)  ;) found em in a little hardware shop in whalley.

Of the top of my head they had

tangerine
rose of paris
cherry flame
bordeaux
reindeer beige
forest green
elephant grey

and quite a few others but they were just numbers

I aint looking to profiteer on these or favour anyone. I should be out that way again in a month or so and can pick them up then if anyone needs owt  :daumenhoch:
