A very wise (and strange....I mean really strange!!!!) rider/bike/wheel building God an all round sex pest told me to get some Football shin pads and use knee pads.

I've got the shin pads........I'm just a little "plump" yet so I canot find knee pads to fit  :'(
I might actually build a bike this year instead of just hoarding parts :)

anyone used these?

http://www.bmx-shop.com/Six-Six-One-Riot-Shin-Pads/p39818.aspx#prodspecs

They're just a rebranded version of their Veggie shin pads. They're ok but the ventalation is not as good as some others...

Peter, I got some older used 661 veggie knee pads as part of a deal last year and they are BIG, barely stay on me - have you tried any similar?

dyno shin splints work well, but only if you wear them.

Not seen them Jon will have a mooch and try and find a pair.....I've also gone the "Dordy" route and bought some "normal" knee pads to use as Elbow pads  :-[
