list of retro and re-issue parts
« on: May 02, 2012, 03:28 PM »
Thought this would be useful for people wanting to complete an 80's build but just can't find the right part, or someone building a re-issue or retro bike. So for example, re-issue comp 3's by tioga, kashimax aero's, new hutch parts such as the stem, seat clamp and aerospeed disc. Plenty more so add what you know of, and if you can where you can buy them!

Can you get the dc seat clamp in new school size? The hutch pedals will be a maybe! Although I think I might have to use old school parts in some places, I might get some dx's

:) Think the DC clamps only come in 25.4? The newer loopy Rippers take a 31.8mm clamp and a 27.2mm post.

I meant re issue parts from the company who originally sold them in the 80's, I don't think it's great on porkchop. You would only have to spend a little bit more on their bars and get skyway bars from coloredtuffs.com

Yeah but on a ripper I'd rather have re-issue parts so it looks old school but new, because there wouldn't be much point in putting all old school parts on a new frame either
