I dont like them, feel too flimsy on and I much prefer MX lids

D2's didnt feel flimsy until the D3 came out... D3 is basically a MX lid.

D3 is a lovely bit of kit but I wouldn't say its a MX lid. In my opinion it offers plenty of protection for bicycle use, and is certainly bigger and more secure feeling then a THE or something like that. If you can afford one then Id say go for it.

I'm with Mark on this, much prefer an MX lid.  Feels more substantial.

I use a dainese raptor, light and strong

but hard to find, might have to go to them direct
