Forking Hell - GT Forks - What should they look like?
« on: April 22, 2012, 08:15 PM »
Could do with some help on forks! Mr Costa spotted that I had an '88 Performer frame but with later Forks on it. I have stripped them (you may have seen the post last week where I destroyed my kitchen). They have a chicken on them that looks a bit like the Twitter logo then a Capital "S" in a bold type of outline font then says  11A/CM - Any idea what year they are from?

Anyone have any pictures of the forks that should be on the bike? I can't really spot them on the museum bikes...

Final question (just remembered) - what colours did the 88 Performer come in?

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Steve - just seen your reply! Thank you... might be best off loading them. How much would an 88 set be going for? Are they a pretty easy find?

Thanks Steve - was Dayglo only on the 'tour' model? Seen some of those but the tubing is different under the seat post!
