Bearing Cups
« on: April 22, 2012, 02:22 PM »
What's the best way to fit the bearing cups in the head tube and the bottom bracket ?
I'm guessing 2 pieces of 3x2 and an hammer or will they need milling ?
Thanks.

A hammer works for sure but I have a large vice and I use this, ensuring there is no metal on metal contact using wooden spacers.

Works a dream but to be honest, you often still have to give them a few final whacks with a hammer if they are not 100% seated on one side..

Good luck!
