just been doin some browsing,is this a gt pro performer or gt pro freestyle tour model?(or was originally)

same frame was used for pro performer pro freestyle tour and team model its only the parts that were different and be ready to do a bank job if you want to do it era correct

one serious problem is how to gwt the old post out,tried some heat,wd40,hammer looks like a fine chisel will have to be implemented?

fill the seatpost tube with diet coke and leave it over night, then i grab the top of the seat post in a vise and twist but uve got to be careful 
ive done 2 that way

picked up some bits off the bay,ok for my budget as i will be using the bike and not showing it,not the 3pc power series cranks but should look better than whats on now

the crank you have there came out in 1990/91 the race chainwheel/spider is  early mid 90s, the race hubs you got are very  late 80s as they have the fip flop hub could be early 90s, sweet hubs!!!! hope this helps as i have no fooking idea about GT crap

GT hubs with hollow axles & the alloy collars are circa 84/85 , had some meself bitd

any help to get a front axle for the gt,as they are an odd design with half the shaft missing,je james,halfords,have no idea.i do have the one on the peregrine rim but is worn,and would be pointless removing 1 from the 92 performer rims,only to replace them.i have 1 on the new peregrine hub as a last resort!can anyone point me in the right diection???

To get the seatpost out, try getting your stem and bars and tighten them into the seatpost, stick the frame between your legs and twist

update on this bike,i assembled some parts,i know this bike wont be mint but is half the weight of my currant ride and on my budget is all its getting!






still looking for a mallet stem but the 99p one thats on will do for now  
also time to get the hutch,oddessey bit sold too
