My Latest Ride
« on: July 13, 2006, 09:46 PM »
He is my latest ride, a GT cruiser.  I have just cleaned it up changed a couple of bits that were knackered.  It needs a few new parts that I will change as I go along (grips, seat, cranks etc).  It rides like a dream.  I am going to have to get myself down BAD BMX track and give it a spin.
I don't know what year it is, any help would be appreciated.  Would it qualify for an old school race meet?

I think that it is an early 90's model, not for old school races as it has cantilever/v brake mounts not caliper but a very, very sexy ride!

You could still race it though in regular cruiser class  :daumenhoch:

Im pretty sure that is a early to mid 90's GT Pro Series 24 - Ive just got hold of the exact same frame/fork but in 20" from the states - there's an ebay seller selling them and also interceptors and powerlite stuff for about £80 a frame/fork! Will post info soon!

The bars do have a bend on one side, someone must have had a pretty heavy landing on it to do that.  It doesn't really notice when I ride it, and I will replace them soon.  I saw the 20" version on the bay, and I am very tempted.
I will definitely bring it to MK and have a hack round the track.  I haven't been on a track for about 16 years so it should be fun.  i might even bring me burner to give you boys a bit of a laugh!!!!!!
