Without a 2 pin tool, is there any easy way of removing this freewheel?
Any tips would be much appreciated.

Remove the axle, put a flat length of steel in a vice so that it locates in both recesses and turn it anticlockwise. It will probably be a bit of a bugger to remove so a bit of downward pressure will be necessary

Dont try and turn it by the two holes, all you will do is take the freewheel apart and have bearing everywhere! As Gav says its the two flat recesses you need to turn

x2 on what Clint said
If all else fails and you can't gerrit off and you don't mind sacrificing the freewheel, take the freewheel apart using them two small round holes, remove the toothed wheel and take out the pawls on the freewheel. Where the pawls were are nice big recesses that you can get you screw-driver in and tw@t the bugger off
