Mongoose 'signature colour'
« on: April 08, 2012, 12:19 PM »
Mongoose experts please!

Mongoose seem to incorporate a lot of orange in their logo and advertising. Is this what could be perceived as their 'signature colour'? Have they always used orange as the primary colour?

I've just won a mongoose mtb jump frame on eBay for not a lot, gonna go through a restoration and I'm thinking orange candy over metalflake on raw, bit like my standard in the new school section.

Only up until 1985 then it changed.
You can check it out in the catalogues on vintage mongoose.

I think the signature colour you're after is more yellow fading to red decals on a chrome frame rather than orange ;)
