Frankenskyway...
« on: April 10, 2012, 01:51 PM »
This weekend I have aquired 3 wheels. A front white Skyway Tuff II 20", a white rear Skyway Tuff II 16" and a spoked wheel with a GT hub. They were from a carboot sale. It looks like someone has put a set of skyways on a Raleigh Chopper with there being a rear 16" & a front 20"

This will sound like a stupid idea but I hate to see things go to waste. Here goes...
Would it be possible to use the rear 16" as a big ass hub and conect the 20" spoked wheel via shortened spokes?
I'm assuming all I'd need to do is shorten the spokes, thread them, drill holes on the skyway rim & lace it all up & end up with a crazy Mag / spoked wheeled abomination!

Apart from stop pi$$ing about, what have you been drinking and just sell them. What do you think??

Why fook up decent wheels? Sell them to someone that appreciates old school.

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.
