damaged hammer head
« on: March 25, 2012, 07:08 PM »
so,i just took out my 83 ghp rider for its first spin,i felt like charlie big potatoes ,i knew every kid would be jealous(in my head anyway) they might have been if it were 1983.i was popping some wheelies when there was a cracking noise from the uni hammerhead,i stopped to check but couldnt see any damage so rode home but with a lot of play on the seat.on closer inspection there isnt actually any damage underneath,no splits  to the plastic at all,the seat is still firmly stuck to the post but when you twist the seat the top part of the post goes with it,it looks like theres a hair line split in the post now,im not sure if it was there before so cant really tell if the damage is up inside the seat where it joins the post or not.has anybody had the same probem with their unis and whats the remedy.please help as ive become rather attached to that god damn ugly chair :'(

you could also use resin as the posts were a form of glass fibre (grp)
British race frames and race clothing wanted

I told you didn't i  :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

Hopefully what ever resin/Araldite you use on it will be flammable as this thing is going to explode like a nuke when i see it next.
