ID please - stickered as a Skyway Ta
« on: March 21, 2012, 08:57 PM »
Hi - this is my first post on RAD  :)
Not sure if this is the correct section for this thread.

I have a few burners but picked this up a few years ago and it has been sitting in the garage gathering dust.
It has TA stickers but not a TA.

I asked on BMXMuseum a few years ago and someone suggested a 'Road King' (mainly in Australia) but someone else said 'Stratton'.
Anyway there are a few nice part on it so I am going to clean it up at last.

Anyone know what it is? I bought it in Dublin so may well have come over from the UK in the 80's

Thanks for your help  8)

Do you know if the f+f are cro-moly tubing? looks to me like a Dragon from bitd, but  it would have to be cro-moly tubing, but the welds look neat enough :daumenhoch:

Yes - cro-moloy tubing. There are a few bikes like it in the other link posted.
Thanks

Thanks lk! I like it too  ;)

Some nice parts. Subroutine stem, chainring and pedals.

What is up with the pink crank though ;D

Must lookup some Akisu bikes as mentioned in the other thread.
Someone mentioned an 'Acorn freeway'.
This bike has Acorn Freestyle mags

I had to resurrect my account too Glenboy...  :daumenhoch:..... I think it expired a while ago.
Just started a new thread with a picture of the Stratton Super Aero that Jaymz sent me.
Would love to find out what bike this is and try to get some decals
