Seems like a lot of OS riders are moving towards New school rides, me included, but I've seen a few topics of late re new school rides >:D

maybe its the heat of spring, confusing the old grey matter  :D

New skool bikes are awesome..   :daumenhoch:  They actually have the look an feel of an OS ride (bar the low piv seat and 25/9) and they can take the abuse of a modern rider.

Some of these new chrome parts look very retro.  Gone are the days of fat ugly tubing and 48's (from the darker days of BMX)

Cheers

I agree they are awesome, not sure the look and feel is the same, I've just rode my NS for the first time today and it felt very different. seemed to have a lot more body weight over the front end. I guess as i get used to not having a seat, that will feel more natural? The lightness of the bike is also a strange feeling. God knows how people manage brakeless (I've already set about sorting a rear brake):LolLolLolLol:

Agreed, they're nowt like an os bike, longer top tube, steeper head angle, shorter rear end

Ride loads better....  :daumenhoch:

For riding.......there's no comparison.  old for looking at and cruising, new for riding.

Although once you embrace new school you start to love the look of them and appreciate the work that goes into making them.

Sorry, I meant early - mid 80's geometry...

Actually, I have started to fit a lot or rear brakes again (gyro's especially).  The kids are 'getting over' the idea of being brakeless, as you just don't have the control that you need for riding street and park.

...absolutely on the money   :daumenhoch:

I agree.  ::)

Never ridden a new school so I can't comment on how they ride though. Bendy, I'll have to have a go on yours on the London Fools' Ride.

Still enjoy building and the London rides so no need for new school.
