Cheap crank recomendation please...
« on: April 04, 2012, 08:07 PM »
Looking for a good, light, cheap cranks for a F&F set that's arriving v.soon. I'm 5.8 11 stone, don't ride heavy. Parks & trails.

.Around £60.

Don't care about 09 sale deals, just best cranks for £60. ;)

Have a look on Liferbmx and look for the Prolite Stealth polished cranks, basically a copy of Primo powerbites........awesome cranks for the money!  :daumenhoch:

Was gonna suggest the same, if you don't mind used then if you're lucky you could get some profiles for that :daumenhoch:

thecaptain on here has some Profiles with a choice of different BB's for £70 on eBay - quick lick of paint and they'd be good to go. I'm sure he'd cut you a deal if you bought them from him via here.

Yup. Used Profiles.

If you really want brand new, then RADBMXSHOP has Eclat cranks on special offer (£70 I think, half price basically) or DK Social cranks for another £20 or so. Excellent, excellent cranks for the money  :daumenhoch:

At the other end of the scale, Stolen Mob cranks are OK for £40 new but don't expect them to be light.

Don't forget to factor in a BB as most cranksets these days come without.

Evans would you believe did have some salt plus ones at £40, reduced from £100, they're top notch and look similar to profiles too. I'll check if they still have any...
Edit. Yep still have them!

Cheers for all the replies.

I'm sorted now, got a set of mint SE cranks coming from a member on here.

My 'cheapo decent' new 1st build is starting to take shape.

 ;)
