Baby Blue Street Beat
« on: March 17, 2012, 04:15 PM »
Hi,

Landed this Beat last week in Baby Blue but is it original paint?
Always thought they came in either green, white or orange (discounting the two-tones) ??
It looks like original paint and isn't thick like powder as the serial number is clearly visible.

Any thoughts?

Regards Steve

I'm sure there was a load of these being sold a few years back in raw condition, IIRC VBMX used to have a street beat build comp for them.

Who cares if it isn't an original colour.
I come from the side that says if it looks right then it is right.

And that certainly looks right. Now get it built mate!!  :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Joff, what do you take me for........I would never strip a NOS, brand new, untouched Streetbeat.  ::)

I still have my white Beat. The first bike I ever restored after finding BMX again.
Love em.

Just needed another again.  :daumenhoch:

I have a white hot seat ready for this one deeman. If a baby blue one appears it WILL be mine!!!  :D

Cheers for comments, Steve

Looking at the pictures again, it looks like the crown race isn't fitted right......there shouldn't be that gap at the bottom  :daumenhoch:

Yeah Rob, it came like that.

I think the headset is just loosely fitted. I will sort it when I come to building it.

Now if only I hadn't sold my Skyway Powerdisc and Skyway Stem.  ::)

I'm sure Vert-ego sold a few Baby Blue StreetBeat's a few years back. Could have been one of theirs.  :-\ Actually, Just had a quick look on their website and they have them listed, but Sold Out.  :daumenhoch:

PS. Does look tasty with that paint job.  :smitten:
